Ras Nix who originates from Kenya is now resident in the USA and has over 10 years experience in the music industry. This musical inspiration is fused with the sounds of Nixon's native Kenyan upbringing and the reggae dancehall sounds of the Nairobi club scene, not to mention the sonic melting pot that is the USA, that have helped define his unique sound.

A very refreshing Reggae 🤝  Hip-Hop hybrid. “‘Babylon Exists’ - the opening track - is a straight shot at the evil and brutality that we feel from the government and police. This song is an anthem stating that evil is real - and until we all can unite and figure out how to truly put an end to it, it’s gonna live on forever. Babylon exists more than ever.

The first snare roll leaves no doubt: this is a dub album, reminiscing the pioneers of the genre like King Tubby, Lee „Scratch“ Perry, and Scientist, and of course, it's a tribute to the revolutionary music of Bob Marley and the Wailers.

‘FEAR. NO. EVIL’ greets us with a sweet Champion riddim, reminiscent of the eighties, where the Maryland (US) born artist cast any negative entity aside, through a toe-curling soulful falsetto, encouraging others to stand up against obstacles of any form.

Lee Perry was a key figure within a group of artists who would create a sound unique to Jamaica called reggae and its sub-genre “dub” reggae. Artists in Jamaica were combining elements of popular 1950s and early 1960s music—from rhythm and blues, rocksteady, ska, jazz horn sections and West African drumming—to offer a new distinct sound.

"Wild and Free" is not 'yet another riddim release' as they are being released left and right these days, but a full-blown release of original material, and as such a true representative of what is being dubbed as #NewRoots.

Ras Mac Bean joined forces with roots reggae band Soulcraft from Belgrade, Serbia, which resulted in a groovy and audacious new album “Reggae On A Mission”, released through independent record label Ammonite Records on 21st of May 2018. The album is available on CD and digital, while the vinyl release will come soon, as well.

This album brings back music from the era when Reggae was in its formative years.  For those of you who like Reggae consider this album a time capsule bringing back some of the old tunes, re-polished and revitalized. Damian Marley is the most versatile and prolific of the Marley family. He bridged the gap between conscious Reggae and Hip-Hop/R&B. At a time that both genres were veering off to commercialism, Junior Gong released music that upheld the root of these genres in terms of lyrical content and musical authenticity.

O'Neil 'Dippozit' Richards is a musical talent like none you've heard in a long time, if ever. His music is described as thought-provoking and for varied reasons. An artist that speaks as he's inspired and not based on the slang of the moment.

Singer-songwriter Jonathan Emile, born in Quebec of Jamaican origins, delves deep into his roots with his first reggae album, Spaces-In-Between, released on Montreal record label MindPeaceLove. Spaces-In-Between stands out as the first Quebec production to be distributed by the legendary distribution company founded by Bob Marley, Tuff Gong International.

Living Legend Jimmy Cliff. This clip features a mix of the classic 'Bongo Man' track (Jimmy Cliff, Give Thankx, LP, 1978) with another Reggae classic, 'Rivers of Babylon', originating from The Melodians in 1970 and made popular by Boney M in a Disco cover.
